It has been a brilliant Autumn term 2. Well done to all the children, families and staff who have made it a very successful few weeks.
Amongst the many things we have experienced this half-term, here are a few highlights:
- Visit by the Mayor of South Ribble Jane Bell who read out some stories and spoke to the children about serving the local community
- Remembrance Day when Mr Stott played the Last Post and the children showed a lot of respect
- Child in Need day when the children came to school in their pyjamas and we were visited by Pudsey bear
- Anti-bullying / One Kind Word week (including Odd Socks day)
- Visits from the Fire Service and a presentation about Knife Crime by the Police
- Year 3 and Year 4 Brass Workshops with P Buzz instruments
- A delicious Christmas Lunch by Dawn and the team
- Christmas gift packs from Leyland Baptist church
- Year 3 trip to Worden Park
- EYFS and Key Stage One recorded performances
- Year 4 dioramas
- the PTFA Christmas shop (which raised £611 towards outdoor play equipment)
We are looking forward to another exciting half-term in the Spring but for now let's all get a fantastic and well-earned rest!
Feliz Navidad!
