Welcome to Year 6

Miss Unsworth is the class teacher; Miss Hickson and Mrs Lowther support us in class.

Year 6 is the final chapter of primary school and this year will be full of new responsibilities and opportunities, rewarding experiences and challenges.

It is an important and exciting year. As well as reaching your potential academically, there will be plenty of opportunities to take on important key roles within school that will equip you for your transition to high school.

In Year 6 we work hard but also have fun along the way!

We will continue to read daily in school so please ensure that your child's book is in school every day. Every time your child reads at least 3 pages, they can put a point on the Class Dojo.

Our PE days for the autumn term are Monday and Friday. Full indoor and outdoor PE kit should be in school including appropriate footwear. Earrings should be taken out or covered with plasters. We may be outside this term for PE with Mr McCormick so please make sure appropriate PE kit is in school.

The register closes at 9am. Please be in school on time every day. Remember 'Rise and shine, be on time, school starts at ten to nine!'

If you have any questions, please see one of us at the end of the school day. We are always at the door at the end of school seeing the children out and will always be happy to listen and help.
