Image of A fantastic new school for a brand new future!

On Monday 8th September our children arrived at our brand new Seven Stars Primary School & Nursery building.

It has taken us three years to get to this stage and everyone has worked so hard but now the moment is here for us to enjoy a wonderful new environment in which our children (both now and the generations to come) can thrive and progress in their learning.

The school is an exciting place to be and we know that it is just the beginning of all the shared memories and successes that will take place in the years to come.

We are still in the process of demolishing the old Millbrook building but that will be completed in January 2026 by which time we will also have a taxi drop-off point and new MUGA for the children to enjoy.

Huge thanks to everyone who has made this fantastic project happen and we look forward to seeing the children make the most of all the facilities now available to them.

The opening ceremony was brilliant and Councillor Matthew Tomlinson kindly attended and cut the ribbon for us on our new school - along with Carol Stunell our Chair of Governors and Vice-Chair Councillor Colin Sharples. We were able to thank CONLONs the builders and Bowker-Sadler the architects for their skill and hard work and the children were great singing songs old and new, filling our new hall with their beautiful voices.

The day after the ceremony we then filled the hall with the sound of rock much as Rock Kidz paid us a visit and taught the children all about the importance of kindness (one of our school's core values - see the Ethos and Values page for more information about that).

We are looking forward to settling into some good routines and finding our feet over this term while we become familiar with a new setting, but we know this is a huge leap forward for us as a school and we can't wait to invite more friends and family into our new school so they can see what we are doing and what we are all about!
