Playtime fun! with OPAL
Please see the letter on Class Dojo from Mrs Walsh introducing OPAL (Outdoor Play & Learning).
OPAL is all about improving our playtimes for all our children.
We will be properly launching OPAL after the half term holiday but this week we have started by getting our more equipment and letting our children use both playgrounds.

They have loved it and we have noticed a big decrease in fallings out, problems and behaviour issues and a huge increase in smiles, fun, team work and active learning as they run round exploring more than they have ever done before.
We will be communicating with parents regularly about how things are going.
As the children explore and have more fun they might come home a bit messier. Primary school is about having fun as they learn together. If your child has a pair of wellies or old shoes they can bring in to leave in school, please send them in as it will give them more freedom to enjoy the outdoor spaces. It also might be good to give them an older coat if you have one.
There will be parent workshops and events to keep you informed coming up as we develop this important aspect of our school. As always, we appreciate your support.
