CURRENT SITUATION

I am pleased to say that we are no longer in an 'outbreak' situation in school (we are below the threshold that is classified as an outbreak)

Thank you for your support in this but we need to continue to be careful within the guidelines for schools and community

Therefore during the Winter period we are continuing with the following measures:

- staff will be wearing face coverings in communal areas and continuing with Lateral Flow Tests

- parents/carers and visitors will be asked to wear face coverings in school (unless they are exempt)

- any children or staff who are close contacts of positive cases are requested to go for a PCR (not LFD) test

- any children or members of a household where someone has tested positive are requested to do 7 days of Lateral Flow tests and if they test positive to stay off school and get a PCR test

- parents/carers are requested not to come into school unless absolutely necessary (or invited by a member of staff)

- maintain social distancing where possible

- keep any child off who is ill and take for a PCR test

- inform school immediately if any child tests positive on either Lateral Flow or PCR test results

Isolation notes

We have been told that if a child receives an isolation note from Track and Trace they should stay at home BUT if their PCR test if negative they should contact Track and Trace on 119 to see if the Isolation Note is still valid.

If parents just ignore the isolation note (even if you have a negative PCR test) then you are liable to be fined.

However Track and Trace have informed us that a negative PCR test will mean the child no longer needs to isolate (but you must contact Track and Trace first to confirm with them)
