RE: Islam Awareness Workshops - Tuesday 8th February
We have a visitor to school in February called Imran Kotwal who is a teacher that leads workshops raising awareness for our children about Islam which is one of our key religions we teach at Seven Stars School.
This will be a great opportunity to consider the basic beliefs of Islam and what Muslims like Mo Farah (UK athlete), Zayn Malik (from One Direction), Mo Salah (Liverpool footballer), Dina Tokio (social media influencer), Nadiya Hussain (British Bake-off winner) believe.
It is a chance to gain better knowledge of what people believe and why (and to help our children grow in their understanding of people who might have different beliefs from themselves)
We will be studying other faiths as well throughout the year including Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Sikhism, other beliefs and also the beliefs of those who do not have a faith position
