It's been an exciting start back for everyone at Seven Stars School. After a busy few days the teachers and staff managed to get our fantastic new school building ship-shape and ready for the start of our new academic year and we welcomed all the children back on 8th September.
The children looked fabulous in their new school uniforms of bottle/forest green and have quickly got used to finding their way round our wonderful new building and settling into new school routines.
You can read all about our new building on the new build page of this website.
We had an opening ceremony on Wednesday 10th September to which parents and friends of Seven Stars were invited and Councillor Matthew Tomlinson spoke, presented a number of people with flowers including the builders (CONLONs) and architects (Bowker & Sadler) and he also helped us to cut the ribbon to officially open our new school.
The builders are still here demolishing the old Millbrook Building and creating a Taxi drop-off point and MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) and this will be finished by January 2026 when we will have another ceremony to celebrate the complete handover of our new school grounds.
We will be conducting tours of the school after our 'Meet the Teams' meetings for parents this month and in October for all Years 7 & 8 children who have gone on to High School but who were here for the first stages of the build.
I am sure that there will be many new memories created in our brand new Seven Stars & Nursery building, and the children will go on from success to success as they step into a bright future with the firm foundations in place that Seven Stars will provide for each of them.
